When you create an account on Besties, we collect personal information that you provide to us. This information may include, but is not limited to, your email, password, name, age, gender, precise location, app discovery method. We also may collect technical information such as device information, IP address, browser type, operating system, and location data. We may record, store, and process audio, transcripts, and interactions to provide, maintain, improve, and develop our services, including AI-powered features. Additionally, we may gather usage data related to your interactions or activity within the App, such as calls made or messages sent.

2. Storage and Security of Your Information

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. We may store your information even after you request deletion of your account with or without reason, with or without notice, especially if it is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

By using Besties, you acknowledge and accept that your data may be stored and managed with third-party services. While we take reasonable steps to ensure these services are secure, we are not liable for the actions, errors, or omissions of these third-party service providers. By using Besties, you acknowledge and accept that we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information and that Besties shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or unauthorized access arising from or related to the transmission, storage, or processing of your information.

3. Account Creation

To use Besties, you must create an account by providing the necessary personal information. Upon request of account deletion, we may retain certain information, especially as required for legal, security, fraud and abuse prevention, fraudulent use of promotional offers, or operational purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information with third parties under certain circumstances. These include sharing with service providers or contractors who assist us in developing and operating the App, providing our services, and analyzing usage data. We may also disclose your information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, legal process, or government request, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Besties, our users, or the public. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We may use analytics tools to understand how you interact with the App and to improve its functionality. By using Besties, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with the transmission of your personal information to Besties and on the app. We are not liable for any unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your personal information as a result of a data breach or other security incident. We may retain your personal information for as long as necessary, with or without reason, and with or without notice. Please be aware that even after you request deletion of your account, we may retain certain data, especially for legal, security, fraud and abuse prevention, fraudulent use of promotional offers, or operational reasons. This data may include, but is not limited to, records of your transactions, communications, and interactions within the App.

7. Use of Google User Data

If you choose to connect your Google account to Besties, we may access certain Google user data, including your email address, basic profile information, and access to your Google Drive, as authorized by you.

This access is used solely to enable core features of the app, including allowing your AI companion to create, edit, and manage documents in your Google Docs and Google Drive on your behalf.

We only access and process Google user data that is necessary to provide these features. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Google user data may be processed and stored securely using our service providers strictly for the purpose of operating and improving the app's functionality.

You may revoke Besties' access to your Google account at any time through your Google account settings. Once access is revoked, we will no longer access your Google data, though previously stored data may be retained as described in this Privacy Policy.

8. User Choices and Severability

You can manage your account settings and update your personal information within the App. We reserve the right to send you any promotional or non-promotional communications to you. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update, modify, or change this Privacy Policy at any time, with or without notice, and with or without reason. Your continued use of Besties after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically for any updates.
